Apple: Macbook Pro M5 16GB 1TB

Lukewarm at best, but with the base Macbook Pro M6 releasing, Apple has finally lowered the pricing on refurbished M5 models to pre-price hike levels. A few days ago this was $2349 CAD. The 512GB Pro model is also available for $1919 CAD, but has been going in and out of stock. The base model Pro’s are in a weird spot where you only really need them if the M5 is enough and you expect to be consistently putting it under sustained loads, otherwise it really is a quality of life upgrade. The Air 13” ($1519) and 15” ($1779) have seemingly had their price adjusted too, and would be more than enough for the average person and for short heavy loads. This puts pricing more in line with Best Buy’s Geek Squad Open-Box but with the Apple guarantee and certainty that you can purchase AppleCare+ blahblah. Best Buy pricing has already been $50-$100 cheaper than these so I’d be curious to see if they drop them even further. Occasionally an M5 Pro will pop up for $2799 already. Hope this helps someone and hopefully we can go back to a time with actual deals.
